She urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is presently in Kashmir, to ensure immediate identification and punishment of the perpetrators. “The Home Minister is here; he should be finding out the people involved so that punishment is given as soon as possible.”

Calling the attack a cowardly act, she said, “People come here to have a good time. It is a cowardly attack. I want to say to the people of the country that we are ashamed, Kashmir is ashamed. We are standing with you in this time of crisis.”

“There should be strict action. I want to apologise to the people of our country,” Mehbooba added. (JKNS)
