Karnah Kupwara:Government Degree College Tangdar successfully hosted a meaningful and inspiring programme on the theme “Empowering Women through Education” in collaboration with the 104 Shakti Vijay Brigade.

The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Colonel Sudeep Bose, Deputy Commandant of 104 Shakti Vijay Brigade, who added great value to the programme with his presence and thoughtful words.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 200 students, faculty members, and staff. The event began with a warm welcome speech by Dr. Zahoor Ahmad, followed by an engaging moderation by Professor Sadaf. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Ashfaq Lone.

During the event, the Chief Guest Colonel Bose awarded prize money to the first five toppers of the college, appreciating their academic excellence and encouraging others to follow their path.

Dr. Bilal Tantry extended his support to both the students and the organizing team, playing a vital role in the success of the programme.
Principal Professor Mushtaq Wani expressed his sincere gratitude to the Indian Army, especially the 104 Shakti Vijay Brigade, for organizing such a socially relevant and motivating event in the college.

While interacting with the audience, Colonel Bose said, “The Indian Army is always ready to support everyone, anytime. We believe in working together for the betterment of society, and such programmes are a step towards building a strong and educated nation.”
This impactful programme not only raised awareness about the importance of women’s education but also inspired the students to become active contributors to a progressive society.
