Shopian: In a significant step towards promoting road safety and responsible driving habits, a Road Safety Awareness programme was organized across three prominent educational institutions of District Shopian viz. GHSSs of Sedow, Kellar and Kanjiullar.
The initiative aimed to sensitize students about traffic rules, safe commuting, and the life-saving importance of following road nor
Students, staff, and local stakeholders participated enthusiastically in the programme, which included awareness sessions, speeches by officials, and student-led rallies in their respective localities.
Carrying banners and placards with powerful messages, students took to the streets to engage the local community.
These rallies garnered strong support from residents, who appreciated the proactive involvement of students in spreading awareness.
School authorities and invited officials addressed the gatherings, emphasizing the transformative role of youth as ambassadors of change.
They urged students to practice road safety personally and to act as influencers within their families and peer circles.
This multi-school initiative forms a crucial part of the broader district-level campaign aimed at fostering a culture of safety, discipline, and responsibility among the younger generation.
