Tourist Rescued from Drowning in Dal Lake by River Police, SDRF

Srinagar, Apr 15 (JKNS): A tourist was rescued from drowning in Dal Lake on Monday after a swift operation by the River Police Sub Division Nehru Park and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).

An official told news agency JKNS that the tourist, identified as Sudeep Dutta, son of Deelip Dutta, from Kolkatta had fallen into the lake when alert rescue teams launched a coordinated effort and safely pulled him out of the water.

The tourist was immediately given first aid and his condition is stated to be stable, officials said.
