Bandipora: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri on Tuesday chaired District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee meeting at mini secretariat, here.
The meeting discussed threadbare various agenda points including Aadhaar Saturation across different age groups, operational Aadhaar Centers, Biometric updates, Birth Registration based Aadhaar Enrolment and other issues.
The Project Manager, UIDAI presented a detailed briefing on the Aadhaar saturation status in the district besides highlighted various issues and measures required to saturate left out population.
It was informed that 64 Aadhaar Enrollment Centers are currently operational in the district.
DC directed the concerned departments to formulate a calendar for Aadhaar updation drives in schools to expedite the enrollment process among school-going children. He also instructed officials to ensure that all non-functional Aadhaar centers are made functional without delay.
Qadri urged the Education Department, ICDS, and Health Department to take the lead in Aadhaar enrollment to achieve 100 percent saturation. He emphasized the need for conducting awareness camps on Aadhaar enrollment and organizing training sessions for Aadhaar operators to enhance the efficiency of enrollment services.
Among others, the meeting was attended by DPO Poshan Project Bandipora, Yaar Ali Khan; ADC, Zaffar Husson Shawl; CMO, LDM, State Project Manager UIDAI, Representatives of India Post, India Post Payment Bank, and other concerned.
