Shopian: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta on Friday visited a recreational Park at Shopian town to review the available facilities, assess its maintenance besides review security and sanitation measures.
The visit aimed to take stock of the management of park in order to promote its recreational purpose for the residents of the district.
During the visit, DC inspected various attractions and directed concerned authorities of Revenue, Police, MC Shopian and Floriculture departments for argumentation of amenities & beautification of park.
He also directed them for installation of CCTVs and street lights around the park.
DC emphasized the need for developing the recreational area to boost its leisure options for residents especially children.
ADDC, Dr Nasir Ahmad Lone; ADC, Dr Zakir Hussain Faaz, ACR, Shakoor Ahmad Dar, ASP, Showkat Wani, District Floriculture Officer and other district officers were accompanying him.
