Kupwara: Indian Army’s Kupwara Terriers hosted a grand Iftar celebration on March 26 for local community at Patha Hirri Garrison Kupwara to promote Harmony. This event was aimed at fostering inclusivity by bringing together individuals from various backgrounds to share a meal during the ongoing holy month of holy Ramadan.
The Iftar gathering served as a platform to strengthen the relationship between the Indian Army and the local population, promoting unity, mutual understanding, and camaraderie among all attendees, regardless of their religious affiliations.
ADC Kupwara Mr Rouf Rehman along with Dr Zaffar BMO Kupwara, SHO Kupwara, SHO Trehgam, Mr Lateef Magistrate Panzgam, Dr Ashraf SDH Kupwara along with Army officers and about 210 locals participated in the event.
With meticulous planning and thoughtful arrangements, the venue was set up to create a welcoming environment for everyone. Soldiers from Kupwara Terriers took an active role in organizing the celebration, handling everything from setting up the seating area to preparing a traditional Iftar spread. As the sun set and the call to prayer echoed in the air, attendees broke their fast together, enjoying dates, fruits, and refreshing beverages in an atmosphere filled with warmth, laughter, and communal harmony.
