Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said that it has solved a theft case within hours by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime here in Bandipora.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that police Station Bandipora received a complaint from a shopkeeper namely Nazir Ahmad Mir S/o Mohd Sadeeq Mir R/o Bandipora Ward No.4 running a copper shop at Gulshan Chowk Bandipora, who alleged therein that some unknown thieves have barged into his shop and stole an amount of rupees RS,170000 (One lac seventy thousand)-(Approx).
Stating that a case FIR No. 51/25 U/S 303(2) 332(c) BNSS was registered at Police Station Bandipora besides initiating investigation Police in its statement further said that during investigation, with the help of technical as well as human support, investigating team arrested the accused from Bemina identified as Imran Ahmad Sofi S/o Gh Nabi Sofi R/o Rak Arath Dal Colony, Bemina Srinagar and recovered from his possession stolen cash amount of ?149500, adding therein that a vehicle bearing registration number JK05B-8805 used in the commission of crime was also seized.
