DC Kulgam reviews arrangements for Jumat-ul-vida, Shab-e-Qadr, Eid-ul-Fitr & Navratra

DC directs market checking to curb black marketing, profiteering to ensure sale of safe quality food items

Kulgam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan on Tuesday chaired a meeting of officers to review the arrangements for auspicious occasions of Shab-e-Qadr, Jumat ul Vida, Eid ul Fitr and Navratra in a meeting with officers of different departments here at mini-secretariat Kulgam.
On the occasion, the DC reviewed availability of poultry, ration and LPG in the district besides other essential items in markets.
Meanwhile, DC directed concerned departments to ensure smooth supply of drinking water and electricity and to press water tanker service in the areas where required during these days.
He also directed the concerned to conduct sanitation and cleaning drives at Mosques, Shrines and Temples.
Regarding transport facility to the devotees visiting shrines/mosques for congregational prayers, DC directed concerned officials to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience.

The DC directed the Health Department to install medical camps with paramedical staff, critical care ambulance and medicines at main congregation places and major Shrines.
He stressed all concerned officers to work with added zeal, energy and close coordination for the successful and hassle-free culmination of large congregations of Shab-e-Qadr, Jamat-ul-Vida & Eid-ul-Fitr and Navratri across the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Altaf Ahmad Khan; ACR, ACP, CMO, AD-FCS&CA, Tehsildars and other officers besides members of Auqaf and traders association also attended the meeting.
