No plans to build a receiving station at Drungkhag: Govt

Srinagar:- There are no plans to build a receiving station at Drungkhag in Budgam district on Tuesday, Govt said.

Replying to the question of MLA Saif Uddin Bhat, PDD Minister as per news agency JKNS said that at present, there is no plan to build a Receiving Station at Drungkhag or nearby areas. The area is being served by the Suden feeder from the Receiving Station Khag.

“As far as, the construction of Receiving Station at Drungkhag is concerned, the department will carry out feasibility study. Based on the study’s outcome, an appropriate decision will be taken.” He said.

“The establishment of a transformer repair workshop at Bugroo Arigam (Khansahib) is not being considered due to the existing two workshops in Electric Division Budgam, located at Chadura and Budgam. The Chadura workshop serves Chadura and Charar-I-Sharief Sub Divisions, while the Budgam workshop caters to Sub Division Budgam, Narbal, and Beerwah.” He added.—(JKNS)
