Jammu : Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Satish Sharma, on Thursday said that the department is contemplating to open 1600 new Fair Price Shops across Jammu and Kashmir.
The Minister was replying to a question raised by Vijay Kumar. The Minister informed the House that the government is prudent to rope in elected members to firm up requirements of new Fair Price Shops in Jammu and Kashmir. He added that further steps will be taken after the required amendments are carried out under Jammu and Kashmir Targeted Public Distribution System.
