Srinagar:- Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday said that the indoor stadium Galizoo Kupwara is under construction while the sports stadium Galizoo Kupwara is being developed on modern lines.

Replying to the question of Fayaz Ahmad Mir, Concerned Minister as per news agency JKNS said that the Youth Service and Sports Department has incurred Rs 42.01 lacs and completed facilities such as leveling of playfields, seating tiers and fencing at Galizoo Kupwara.

“Moreover, District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Kupwara has also proposed the Development of Sports Stadium Galizoo Jon modern lines under the PMJVK (Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakaram) and the DPR amounting to Rs. 14.28 Crore has been submitted to District Administration for its approval and other required formalities.” He said.

He said that at Galizoo, Kupwara, an Indoor Stadium is under construction through District Administration with project cost of Rs. 100.00 lac and Accord of Administrative Indoor Approval has been issued by District Development Commissioner Kupwara vide Order No. 480-DDCK of 2020 dated 21-01- 2020 an amount of Rs. 40.00 lac has been incurred so far and the pavilion of the stadium has been constructed.—(JKNS
