KISHTWAR: To promote empowerment of minorities and stimulate economic growth, the Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Finance Corporation (JKLFC) in collaboration with National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC) organized a Mega Loan Mela cum Awareness Camp focused on the Minority Loan Scheme.
The event held today was graced by the esteemed presence of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan, as the Chief Guest.
A significant number of over 100 participants, including local youth, general public and entrepreneurs attended the event.
District Manager, JKLFC (Doda/Udhampur), Ahzaz Ahmed Shah welcomed the participants and provided an overview of the various loan schemes offered by the Corporation.
District Coordinator JKLFC, Vinod Chouhan elaborated on the eligibility criteria for availing the loan facilities, ensuring that all participants were well-informed of the procedures and benefits of these schemes.
The DC emphasized the importance of such schemes in driving economic growth, especially for start-ups and supporting sustainable development within the community. He underscored the vital role these loan schemes play in empowering the minority sections of society, providing them with the opportunity to secure a livelihood through low-interest loans. He assured the participants full support and encouraged them to reach out for any assistance needed in accessing these schemes.
The DC urged the youth especially girls to take advantage of various Flagship Centrally Sponsored Schemes in diverse sectors such as Mission Yuva, Agriculture, KVIB, Horticulture, Fisheries, Handicrafts etc to explore avenues for entrepreneurship and career development.
