Srinagar, Mar 19 (JKNS) : Security forces on Wednesday averted a tragedy with the timely detection of an improvised explosive device (IED) in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A top police officer told news agency JKNS that a patrol party noticed a suspicious object on the main road ahead of Sunset point Bandipora district which turned out to be an IED, the officer said.
A bomb disposal squad was rushed to the spot which defused the IED on the spot without causing any damage, the officer said.—(JKNS)
