DDC Shopian reviews physical, financial progress under District Capex

Discusses Action Plan for 2025-26, asks for improving physical/ financial performance ending March

SHOPIAN: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Shopian, Shishir Gupta today chaired a review meeting here at Mini-Secretariat Shopian to assess the physical and financial progress of ongoing developmental projects and works under the District Capex Budget for 2024-25, and discuss the Action Plan for the next year (2025-26) district capex.

The meeting featured a detailed sector-wise appraisal & physical and financial progress achieved till date while analysing the fund allocation & utilization rates and physical targets achieved.

Works undertaken across Education, Health, R&B Shopian and Zainapora, Rural development, Jal Shakti, MC, Youth Services & Sports, Power, Irrigation etc were reviewed and directions issued for completing the works as per timelines.

The DDC emphasized upon all executing agencies the importance of timely project execution, 100% fund utilization till the end of March for the projects slated for this year. He also instructed for expediting the execution of those works to be projected for completion next year.

The district heads were urged to enhance the booking and clearance of financial claims within this month.

The meeting also discussed the Action Plan of development works and projects to be proposed for the next financial year 2025-26 District Capex. The DC, on the occasion sought a list of identified works under District Capex from all sectors for the next year.

ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz; CPO, SDM, ACD, Ex. Engineers & AEEs, district officers, BDOs and other concerned were present.
