Frisal-Khudwani Road Blocked as Rain Washes Away Diversion in Kulgam

Kulgam,: Traffic on the Frisal-Khudwani route via Kujer and Redwani Ghat has been suspended after a diversion collapsed due to continuous rainfall in the Kujer area of Kulgam district.

Reports reaching to news agency JKNS said that the disruption occurred as heavy rains continue to lash Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir Valley, with fresh snowfall reported in some hilly areas.

The collapse of the diversion has completely halted movement along the Frisal-Khudwani road, affecting commuters and residents, reports said.

Authorities have advised travelers to take alternate routes while efforts are being made to restore connectivity.

Meanwhile, officials have urged people to exercise caution while traveling, especially in areas prone to landslides and road washouts, as rainfall is expected to continue. (JKNS)
