DC Kulgam reviews PMMVY scheme; directs expediting Aadhaar seeding of pending beneficiaries

Kulgam: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan Tuesday reviewed the progress of the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) in a meeting with Officers at the mini-secretariat, here.
While reviewing the scheme, DC directed the ICDS department to expedite the Aadhaar seeding of the pending beneficiaries at the earliest.
He stressed collaborative efforts of field staff at block level to get all the eligible beneficiaries enlisted in the scheme.
It is worth mentioning that PMMVY is a centrally sponsored scheme under Poshan Abhiyan under which financial support is being provided to lactating mothers.
The meeting was attended by DPO ICDS, all CDPOs, District Lead Bank Manager, DIO and a representative from LIC.
