Vice Chancellor Prof. Mohammad Mobin was the chief guest, while renowned Kashmiri poet Prof. Naseem Shafaie was the special guest. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Naseem Shafaie reflected on the pivotal role of women in shaping society, emphasizing the challenges they overcome and their continued achievements.

 

Vice Chancellor Prof. Mobin stressed the importance of recognizing and honoring women’s invaluable contributions, expressing gratitude to Prof. Naseem Shafaie for enriching the event with her insights. As a token of appreciation, he presented her with a memento in recognition of her contribution to Kashmiri literature and social discourse.

 

Earlier, Dean of Humanities and Liberal Arts, Dr. Deeba Sarmad, welcomed the guests and highlighted the significance of the occasion. She also acknowledged Prof. Naseem Shafaie’s impact on Kashmiri literature and her role in shaping literary discourse in the region.

 

The event was attended by Registrar Dr. Willayat Hussain Rizvi, Controller of Examination Prof. Khurshid Ahmad Mir, principals of various constituent colleges, deans, assistant registrar, NSS coordinator, and other university officers. (JKNS)
