J&K , Ladakh CJ e-inaugurates new building of DCC Kupwara

Kupwara : Chief Justice High Court of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, Tashi Rabstan, on Thursday e-inaugurated the state-of-the-art new building for District Court Complex in Kupwara.
This landmark development marks a significant milestone in the judicial infrastructure of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, aimed at improving access to justice for citizens in the region.
The inaugural ceremony was, among others, attended by Administrative Judge for District Kupwara, Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal; Principal District & Sessions Judge, Shazia Tabasum; Deputy Commissioner, Ayushi Sudan; Additional District Judge Kupwara, Khem Raj Sharma; Additional District Judge Handwara, Umi Kulsoom; SSP Kupwara, Gulam Jeelani besides Judicial Officers, members of Bar Association and court staff.
The newly constructed court building, designed with modern amenities, aims to enhance the working environment for the judicial officers, lawyers and staff while ensuring a more accessible and efficient system for the litigants. It also highlights the government’s commitment towards strengthening the judiciary system and providing facilities that promote transparency and quick resolution of legal matters.
During the inaugural ceremony, the Chief Justice expressed satisfaction over timely completion of the project and emphasized the importance of modern infrastructure for the judicial system. He said that it is not merely a physical structure but a commitment for providing access to justice to all citizens. He also highlighted the importance of digital integration in the judiciary and assured that similar initiatives would continue to be implemented across the region to further improve judicial services.
The Chief Justice expressed gratitude towards all stakeholders including officers from judiciary, executing agency and civil administration for ensuring timely completion of the building.
In his address, Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal said that this day marks the importance of courts as the new court building will house the administration for ensuring justice to all citizens especially underprivileged people. He hoped that the well designed new court building with state of the art facilities will fulfill the needs of all stakeholders including the judiciary and the citizens.
Principal District & Sessions Judge also spoke and expressed her gratitude to all stakeholders especially court administration for their efforts for completion of the court complex building which will strengthen the roots of the judiciary and justice delivery.
DC Kupwara, in her speech, thanked all the stakeholders who ensured timely completion of the building and hoped that the new building will further facilitate the Judicial Officers and Court staff in better delivery of the services to the people.
The inauguration of the Kupwara court building is part of a larger initiative to modernize and expand judicial facilities in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, ensuring that justice remains accessible and efficient for every citizen.
