T20 Cricket Tournament concludes in Awantipora, DPL Awantipora emerge as champions

Srinagar: A T-20 cricket tournament organized by police in Awantipora concluded today with a colourful closing ceremony. The tournament which was inaugurated by SSP Awantipora at DPL Awantipora was played on knockout basis.
On the closing ceremony, the final match of the tournament was played between HCC Noorpora vs DPL Awantipora in which DPL Awantipora emerged as winners of the tournament. Ten (10) teams from different areas of Police District Awantipora participated in the tournament with great enthusiasm, passion and valour.
The closing ceremony was attended by SSP Awantipora, DySP DAR and other officers of police. While speaking on the closing ceremony, SSP Awantipora said that J&K Police has always been on the forefront in providing platform to youth and guide them in following their goals by organizing different events across J&K. He also presented trophies to winner and runner up teams. Both the runner up and winning teams were awarded with trophies and cricket kits.
Man of the match and man of the tournament award was bagged by Jamid Ahmad Sofi. Arshid Ahmad, Jahangir Ahmad, Basit Choto and Amandeep Singh were awarded best wicket keeper, best catch taker, maximum sixes, best bowler respectively.
