Kupwara: As predicted by the [India Meteorological Department (IMD)](w), snowfall has begun in the Karnah region of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. Visuals from [Sadhna Top](w) show snow accumulation, with vehicle movement currently allowed until the road gets blocked.

The [Indian Army](w), [Border Roads Organisation (BRO)](w) (Beacon), and local police are on high alert to ensure the safety of commuters. Authorities have issued advisories for travelers, urging them to use anti-skid chains on their vehicles to avoid accidents on slippery roads.
