Budgam : The District Administration Budgam in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA), Department of Science & Technology, has launched the solarization of government buildings in District Budgam under the PM-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna.
The initiative was launched by Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Akshay Labroo at DC office Complex. On the occasion, 50KW capacity panels were installed on both old & new buildings of DC Office.
Morethan 90 government buildings across District Budgam shall be covered under this initiative in the next 3 months, the district administration said.
Speaking at the occasion, DC highlighted the benefits of the scheme, emphasizing its role in reducing the financial burden of electricity bills for government institutions, decreasing reliance on conventional energy sources, and promoting environmental sustainability.
He stressed upon the agency to ensure the smooth and timely implementation of the project while maintaining efficiency of the project.
