The camp attracted workers from Gool A, Gool B, Gool Jaman, Gool C, Dedha and Kalimasta Panchayats, witnessing participation of around 150 workers.
To streamline the registration process on the JKBOCWWB portal, the Labour Department is working closely with Common Service Centres (CSCs) across the district.
During the camp, the Assistant Labour Commissioner Amit Kumar, briefed workers on labour laws, including the Payment of Wages Act, Workmen Compensation Act, Child Labour Act, Maternity Benefit Act, Contract Labour Act, and Payment of Gratuity Act. He also highlighted the welfare schemes of the J&K Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCWWB).
The workers were encouraged to register on the JK Samadhan App, a dedicated grievance redressal portal and sensitized about PM-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, being implemented by JPDCL. A helpline number (9419192398) was shared for further assistance.
The ALC also informed the workers about E-Shram, Mission Youth schemes like Mumkin and Tejaswini, the ESI scheme, and the Mission YUVA Survey.
During the camp, 15 on-the-spot registrations were done on the JK Samadhan App, facilitated by CSC VLE deputed by District Manager CSC, Nawaz.
Additionally, 20 labour card renewals and 7 new registrations were approved on the spot, with distribution of new labour cards.
Information brochures on various Labour, Employment, and Industries Department schemes were also distributed among the participating workers.
