Bandipora: The Jal Shakti Department’s Sub Division Sumbal in Bandipora district has detected contamination in two springs and one Borewell in Saderkoot Bala, North Kashmir.
As a precautionary measure, officials have advised residents to avoid using water directly from these sources for drinking purposes and to boil it first.
A massive drive of random sampling and testing of various springs was conducted by the Jal Shakti (PHE) Sub Division Sumbal.
The results revealed that two spring samples collected from Saderkoot Bala tested positive for bacterial contamination and also One Borewell.
The Springs Are Gandak Naag and Kaniwan Naag In Saderkoot Bala Bandipora.
Qazi Saqib, AEE Jal Shakti Sumbal, urged residents to use water from these sources only after boiling it to ensure safety.
