CUK denies Vacation Extension; Online Classes from Feb 10-14, In-Person From Feb 17

Ganderbal: The Central University of Kashmir on friday denied reports of extending winter vacations, stating that online classes will be held from February 10 to 14 for academic continuity while in person classwork to commence from 17 February.

PRO Central university of Kashmir, in a statement issued to news agency JKNS reads, Apropos to the news item “CUK Extends Winter Vacation Till February 14,” published by various media organisations on 7th of February, 2025, the Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) wants to clarify that the Vacations have not been extended and the academic activity (resumption of class through online mode) will be started from 10-02-2025 to 14-02-2025.

However, the physical classes shall resume from 17-02-2025. The faculty members have been directed to conduct the online classes from 10-02-2025 to ensure the academic continuity. The order issued does not anywhere call for extension of winter vacations, reads the statement. (JKNS)
