Srinagar: After suspending two doctors, the Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended a theatre technician at SDH Sopore on pending of inquiry into the wrong surgery at Hakeem Sonaullah Hospital.
As per the order issued by the Secretary H&ME department Syed Abid Rasheed Shah a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS reads, Pending enquiry into the incident that occurred on 03.02.2025 at Hakeem Sonaullah Hospital, Sopore and to ensure a fair and impartial investigation.
While maintaining the integrity of the healthcare system Mr. Ghulam Nabi, Theatre Technician, SDH Sopore is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect and shall remain attached with Directorate of Health Services, Jammu till further orders.
Earlier yesterday, two doctors were suspended, and the operation theater of Hakeem Sonaullah Hospital, Sopore, was sealed after a patient scheduled for ear surgery underwent uterus removal instead. (JKNS)
