DDC Shopian takes review of ongoing developmental works in the district

Shopian:- To assess and accelerate the developmental works in the district, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta today chaired a meeting with concerned officers in his office chamber here at Mini-Secretariat Shopian to review the progress of various projects to ensure timely completion and address any obstacles hindering the progress.

At the outset,DDC took a comprehensive review of the current status of all developmental works undertaken by the R&B, JJM,PMGSY, etc. during the current year and examined the progress of projects and other works falling under various schemes, including District Capex, NABARD and other government sponsored
schemes.

The review encompassed a wide array of initiatives aimed at enhancing the district’s infrastructure and connectivity.During the meeting, the DDC directed the officers present to ensure timely completion of all the projects undertaken by the departments for the financial year 2024-25 and immediately commission them for the public service.

The DDC also highlighted the urgency of completing these projects to strengthen infrastructure.He has also focused on the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission in the district, stressing the importance of adhering to
timelines and ensuring the functionality of water supply schemes,seeking updates on their operational status.

The review also focused on identifying bottlenecks and their removal for expeditious culmination of project lifecycles.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone, ACR, Shakoor Ahmad Dar, district officers and sectoral officers and other officials.
