Speaking to the AIIMS team, Dr. A.S. Bhatia, Principal of GMC Rajouri provided a comprehensive briefing on the patients’ condition upon admission.

An official told news agency JKNS that, following the hospital visit, the team proceeded to special health camps set up in Badhal village, where they engaged with local residents to gather more insights. The team also collected environmental samples and conducted on-site examinations to identify potential sources of contamination or infection.

The AIIMS team is expected to continue its investigation on Sunday, meeting more affected families and analyzing the situation on the ground. Their primary focus is to determine the exact cause of the outbreak and recommend measures to prevent further spread, they said.
