Srinagar: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation marked the 76th Republic Day with a vibrant flag unfurling ceremony at its central office in Karan Nagar Srinagar.
The event was filled with patriotism and enthusiasm, highlighted by the unfurling of the National Flag by Dr. Owais Ahmed, Commissioner SMC in the presence of distinguished guests, officials, community leaders, senior citizens, and youth.
The ceremony began with the rendition of the National Anthem, which resonated throughout the venue, fostering a spirit of pride and unity among all attendees.
In his address, the Commissioner extended warm greetings, reflecting on the rich legacy of India’s democratic values and emphasizing the importance of maintaining unity in diversity. He reaffirmed the SMC’s commitment to providing citizen-centric services for the residents of Srinagar.
The event also featured an array of cultural performances and patriotic recitals, adding to the celebratory atmosphere and showcasing India’s rich cultural diversity.
