Udhampur, Jan 19 (JKNS): Udhampur Police on sunday arrested a man for brutally assaulting his two minor children, aged five and three, after a distressing video of the incident surfaced online.

Police Spokesperson in a statement isaued here to news agency JKNS reads, Udhampur Police have arrested a man for mercilessly beating his two minor children, aged five and three years, in the Panchari area of District Udhampur.

The incident came to light after a disturbing video went viral on social media, showing Sudesh Kumar S/O Late Sh. Parkash Chand R/O Naagni Chulna brutally assaulting his children, it reads.

Upon becoming aware of the viral video, a team of Police Station Panchari was promptly deployed to investigate the matter.
The accused Sudesh Kumar, was detained for questioning, and the children were immediately rescued from his custody.

Statement further reads, In connection with the incident, the accused has been arrested preventively. The children have been handed over to their relatives for their safety and care, reads the statement. (JKNS)
