Udhampur : Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai on Saturday convened a meeting with officers and civil society members to discuss the effective implementation of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh; Chief Planning Officer Mohammad Iqbal; Executive Officer Municipality, Rajinder Digra and prominent citizens.
At the outset, Executive Engineer JPDCL Sunil Pandoh delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation highlighting the objectives and benefits of the scheme. He informed that the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana aims to provide financial relief to households by facilitating the installation of rooftop solar systems with subsidies.
Deputy Commissioner sensitized the civil society members about the scheme and emphasized the need for public cooperation to ensure its successful implementation across the district. She directed the Executive Engineer, JPDCL, to engage stakeholders actively to maximize the scheme’s benefits for the general public.
