Operation of 2 Medical Sale establishments shut for non-compliance of CBS at Kulgam

KULGAM: Continuing its drive to achieve 100% computerized billing system in Kulgam, a team of Drug Control Officers today closed down operations of two medical sale establishments during inspection conducted in various areas of the District.

The operation of the medical sale establishments was closed down at Matalhama area for non compliance to Govt. directive wrt Computerized Billing System (CBS) and other conditions of licences during inspection carried out in Matalhama, Cheddar, Bhan, Ashmuji, Tulinowpora among other adjoining villages.

Also statutory samples of various medicines were lifted and sent for analysis purposes to check their quality parameters.

It is worthwhile to mention that all the retail as well as wholesale Drug sale establishments have been directed to install a robust computerized billing system to plug in gaps for any misuse of Scheduled drugs.
