Doda: The Jammu and Kashmir Police have successfully solved the controversial bhaderwahconfession case, which involved an Instagram account engaged in defamation and character assassination, police said.
Police spokesperson in a statement issued here to news agency JKNS that, On 08-01-2025 a complaint was received at Police Station Bhaderwah wherein the complainant alleged that an anonymous Instagram account with the username _bhaderwahconfessionpage has been created by some mischievous elements using a fake email address in his name.
The said account is not only damaging the personal reputation but is also engaged in the character assassination of both boys and girls by spreading false and defamatory contents. On this case FIR No.03/2025 was registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation was entrusted to SDPO Bhaderwah, it reads.
During the course of investigation, hectic efforts were made in order to trace out the culprits.
Statement further reads, technical support from Intermediaries like Meta, Google platform etc. was taken and With the help of technical assistance by ESU/Social Media Monitoring Cell of Doda, the person/s associated with the controversial account were identified and the case has been solved. Their technical gadgets have been seized for forensic analysis and further investigation is in progress. (JKNS)
