Ganderbal: District President of Ganderbal, Mohammad Amin Shah, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for his visit to Ganderbal on the momentous occasion of the inauguration of the Z-Morh Tunnel. The 6.5-kilometer tunnel, which connects Sonamarg to the rest of the country year-round, is seen as a transformative project for the region’s development and tourism.

In a statement, Mohammad Amin Shah said, “Today is a historic day for the people of Ganderbal and the entire Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The inauguration of the Z-Morh Tunnel marks a new chapter in the development of our region, ensuring all-weather connectivity to the picturesque Sonamarg. This project will not only boost tourism but also create employment opportunities, improving the socio-economic conditions of our people.” He further added, “We are deeply indebted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his unwavering commitment to the development of Jammu and Kashmir. His visit to our district underscores the importance of the region and reflects his vision of a prosperous and integrated India.”
