Press Club of Kashmir offers condolences to senior journalist Ashwani Kumar on his wife death

Srinagar: The executive members of the Press Club of Kashmir held an emergency meeting today at their office in Amira Kadal, Srinagar, to mourn the passing of Sunita Chandra, wife of senior journalist Ashwani Kumar, former Bureau Chief of Aaj Tak news channel and ex-president of the press club of Jammu.

During the meeting, led by President M Saleem Pandit, the members expressed their heartfelt condolences and prayed for courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss.

Sunita Chandra was admitted in AIIMS where she died on 11 January 2024. She was 61 and is survived by her husband and two daughters.

Chandra was a social worker and used to work with street children under the Pahal project of Damodar Sati Udyog Sanstha. She educated more than 2000 children from the slum are as from different party of country including Jammu.
