All exams of Kashmir University scheduled for Dec 30 postponed: Controller Exams KU, Dr. Majid Zaman

Says decision taken due to heavy snowfall in many parts of Kashmir; Notifications claiming exams will proceed as scheduled are fake and intended to create confusion among students

Srinagar: Amid confusion caused by fake notifications, the Controller of Examinations, Dr. Majid Zaman, clarified that all examinations of Kashmir University scheduled for December 30, 2024, have been postponed.

According to a notification issued by the Assistant Controller of Examinations at KU, a copy of which is available with JKNS, the postponement is due to inclement weather. The notification reads: “In view of the inclement weather, all examinations of the University of Kashmir scheduled to be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, are postponed. Fresh dates for the postponed papers will be notified separately.”

Dr. Majid Zaman confirmed to news agency JKNS that the decision was taken because of heavy snowfall in many parts of Kashmir, especially in north and south regions. He added that the fake notifications claiming exams will proceed as scheduled are deliberately intended to mislead and create confusion among students, Majid added. (JKNS)
