Vehicle preparedness has been given utmost importance, with anti-skid snow chains being made mandatory for all vehicles, including four-wheel drives.

Drivers are advised to ensure their vehicles are in optimal condition, particularly focusing on brakes, lights, and defrosters, to prevent mechanical failures on icy roads, it reads.

Driving practices should also be adjusted for winter conditions, with slow and steady speeds being recommended. The use of cruise control is discouraged, and drivers are advised to remain calm and steer carefully in case of skidding.
