Ganderbal: In light of the ongoing inclement weather conditions, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir, conducted an intensive visit on Friday to the District Control Room and District Hospital Ganderbal to assess the preparedness and ensure essential services remain uninterrupted.
During his visit to the District Control Room, the DC instructed the Incharge to maintain round-the-clock operations. He emphasized that any distress calls related to breakdowns in essential services must be promptly addressed by the concerned departments. Upon inquiry, it was reported that no such calls had been received thus far.
The DC later inspected the District Hospital Ganderbal to review the availability of medical facilities and readiness to handle emergencies. He directed the Medical Superintendent to ensure that all health institutions across the district remain prepared to deal with any exigencies arising from the current weather situation.
Additionally, the DC has directed all line departments and Tehsildars to remain vigilant in their respective areas, with a mandate to address public grievances promptly. The District Administration has already put necessary measures in place to provide essential services to the public.
The R&B and Mechanical Engineering Departments have been directed to keep men and machinery in a state of readiness to deal with snow accumulation or other weather-related challenges.
The DC assured the public that all efforts are being made to mitigate any disruptions caused by the adverse weather conditions.
For any grievances or emergencies, the public is urged to contact the District Control Room (01942416260, 01942416261) for immediate assistance.
