DC reviews Preparations for R-Day celebrations at B’pora, Directs strict adherence to Flag Code & other protocols

Bandipora : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, on Thursday chaired a meeting at the Mini Secretariat Bandipora to review the arrangements for the upcoming Republic Day celebrations in the district.
The meeting discussed comprehensive plans for the main function, scheduled to be held at SK Stadium Bandipora, besides at the sub-divisional, block, and panchayat levels, as well as at the Mini Secretariat Bandipora and at all government offices.
The meeting was informed that the event will feature a parade with contingents drawn from JK Police, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, CISF, Fire and Emergency Services, NCC, and various schools.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC stressed strict adherence to the Flag Code and other necessary protocols, instructing officers to ensure all arrangements are completed well in advance.
The DC directed the Chief Education Officer and DYSSO to organize cultural programmes, the R&B Department to manage seating and stage arrangements, the Municipal Committee to ensure sanitation, and the ExEn PDD to ensure the illumination of government buildings.
The PHE Department was tasked with providing drinking water, while the CMO was instructed to arrange medical facilities at the main venue.
Qadri urged the officers to ensure participation of all the Government officials in the full-dress rehearsal and on Republic Day celebrations.
On the occasion, SDM Sumbal briefed the chair regarding the preparations underway in Sumbal Sub Division besides SDM Gurez also provided details of preparations in Gurez Sub Division, ensuring that all arrangements will be in place for smooth celebrations.
The meeting was attended by SSP Bandipora, Harmeet Singh; ADDC, Mohammad Ashraf Bhatt; ADC, Zaffar Husson Shawl; ACR, Commanding Officer 14RR, CRPF, District Officers of various departments and other concerned.
