Arrangements for Republic Day-2025 reviewed at G’bal

Ganderbal : To review the arrangements for the upcoming Republic Day function in the district, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shyambir on Thursday chaired a meeting of officers, here.
The meeting was informed that the main function will be held at Qamaria ground Ganderbal where the chief guest will unfurl the National Flag and take salute at the March past.
The meeting held threadbare discussions on various arrangements to be put in place at the venue for the National function, including preparation and consolidation of the main venue ground, podium, security, seating, transportation, barricading, parking, electricity, refreshment, medicare, availability of ambulance, deployment of fire tenders and sanitation measures.
It was informed that the march past will be presented by the contingents drawn from District Police, CRPF, Armed Police, NCC, PTS Manigam and students of various educational institutions. Besides, Cultural programs shall also be presented by the students during the function.
Chief Education Officer was directed to ensure arrangements for the cultural programme for the Day.
The meeting also discussed the illumination plan of government buildings including important bridges and clock tower.
Meanwhile, the DC directed the concerned to ensure that all arrangements are put in place timely for the celebration of Republic Day at Sub Division, Block and Panchayat levels.
Addressing the meeting, the DC directed the concerned officers to oversee different arrangements in close coordination among the concerned departments to ensure smooth and successful conduct of the function.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Gulzar Ahmad; ACR, SDM Kangan, CEO SDA, ACD, District Heads of various departments besides officials of Army and CRPF.
