DC B’gam conducts On-Site assessment of Khanda Water Supply Scheme

Budgam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo, on Saturday conducted an on-site assessment of the Khanda Water Supply Scheme which aims to improve the water supply infrastructure for multiple villages in the district.
Upon completion, the project will benefit over 1100 households across the villages of Khanda, Kuthipora, Magray pora, kargari Mohalla,and Suthsoo ,among others.
During the visit, the DC directed the executing agency to expedite completion of the scheme in a mission mode and ensure its functionality & operation within one month.
He also directed the concerned authorities to maintain quality standards in the execution of the project to ensure its durability and efficiency.
Highlighting the potential and impact of the Kanda Water Supply Scheme, the DC stated that it will significantly enhance the quality of life by providing clean and reliable drinking water to households in the area.
The DC also stated that a follow-up visit to Khanda WSS shall be conducted next month to check the functionality of the scheme.
During the visit, he was accompanied by CPO Budgam Irfan Giri, SDM Chadoora, Primrose Bashir, Executive Engineer PHE Division Chadoora Nazia Nazir, Tehsildar BK Pora, AEE JJM Chadoora and other concerned officials during the visit.
