Property of Pakistan-based terrorist Zia ul Rehman attached in Budhal, Rajouri

Srinagar: As decisive action against anti-national elements, the property of Zia ul Rehman, a Pakistan-based handler and proclaimed offender, was attached today in Budhal, Rajouri.

“The property, spanning 19 Marlas and 5 Sarsai, was seized following the orders of the Hon’ble Court under the provisions of FIR No. 10/2021, Section 2/3 of the EIMCO Act, registered at Police Station Budhal,” reads a statement issued by police, a copy of which lies with the news agency JKNS.

It reads as, the operation was conducted under the oversight of revenue authorities, ensuring strict adherence to legal procedures.

The statement further reads, this development highlights the Jammu zone’s zero-tolerance stance and ongoing efforts to crack down on terrorism and its handlers operating from across the border. The aim is to dismantle the economic support structures that sustain terrorism.

“Further investigations are underway to trace additional assets linked to Zia ul Rehman and his associates. Authorities remain committed to taking stringent action against those involved in terror financing and cross-border terrorism,” reads the statement.—(JKNS
