Jammu: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya convened a meeting on Friday to assess the progress of pending land acquisition, de-acquisition and requisition cases concerning the Army.
The meeting included Defence Estates Officers Jammu and Udhampur, along with Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr Rajesh Kumar and Sub-Divisional Magistrates of Jammu North, Jammu South, Akhnoor, Marh and RS Pura.
During the meeting, the DC emphasised the necessity for DEOs and SDMs to expedite the resolution of all outstanding cases within set timelines. He directed the officers to ensure that pending rent assessments are completed without delay, enabling prompt disbursal of rental payments to rightful landowners. He further stressed that pending payments of rent must be cleared at the earliest.
