Ganderbal: The District Administration Ganderbal is all set to observe Good Governance Week (GGW2024) under the nationwide campaign “Prashasan Gaon ki Ore” from December 19 to December 24, 2024.
The initiative aims to strengthen public service delivery and promote good governance practices at the grassroots level.
As part of the campaign, a series of events and activities have been planned across the district.
Special Gram Sabhas will be conducted focusing on public grievance redressal through dedicated camps at the tehsil level. Additionally, special workshops on good governance practices will also be organized at the tehsil level to foster awareness and participation.
To further engage the community, debates, painting competitions, and a district-level workshop will be held, encouraging participation from various sections of society, particularly the youth.
In a significant prelude to the week-long activities, a Special Block Diwas is scheduled to take place on December 18, 2024, in Block Sherpathri. The Block Diwas will address local grievances, promote public participation, and highlight various government schemes and services.
The District Administration has urged all stakeholders, including officials, local representatives, and citizens, to actively participate in the campaign to make ‘Good Governance Week’ a success.
The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to taking governance to the doorsteps of people and ensuring accountability, transparency, and efficient service delivery.
