Jammu: The Border Security Force (BSF) in Jammu thwarted a smuggling attempt along the Arnia sector on Thursday evening, showcasing their alertness and commitment to national security.
“Around 8:10 PM on December 14, BSF troops intercepted a Pakistani drone attempting to cross into Indian territory. During the operation, the personnel recovered the drone along with 495 grams of narcotics suspected to have been dropped for smuggling purposes,” reads a statement a copy of which lies with the news agency JKNS.
It reads as, the BSF Jammu spokesperson commended the troops for their relentless dedication and sharp vigilance, emphasizing their role in defeating the nefarious designs of anti-national elements.
“The successful interception highlights the BSF’s continued efforts to ensure border security and combat cross-border smuggling attempts. Further investigations into the recovered narcotics are underway,” the statement reads further.—(JKNS)
