The accident occurred when a Dzire car bearing registration number JK09D 4339 en route from Jammu to Srinagar collided with the roadside divider due to rash driving by the driver.

He said that in the incident, at least six individuals have been identified as Ab Rasheed Ghazi, son of Mir Mohd Ghazi; Shafiya, wife of Aijaz; Shaziya, wife of Farook; Teadwa; Zeeshan, son of Farook; Aliza, daughter of Farook; and Adnan, son of Farook—all six victims are residents of Kalaroos, Kupwara.

He added that the injured were initially taken to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bejbihara for medical attention. “Three of them, including Ab Rasheed Ghazi, Shafiya, and Shaziya, were later referred to GMC Anantnag for advanced treatment,” said the official.
