Kulgam Police Attach Property Under UAPA Linked to Neutralized Terrorists

Kulgam: As part of a major crackdown on terrorism, the Kulgam Police have attached a single-storied residential house under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA). The property, spanning 10 marlas and registered in the name of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohammad Akbar Bhat, is located in Chenigam, Frisal.

“This action is connected to case FIR No. 53/2024 of Police Station Yaripora and involves a property where four terrorists were neutralized on July 6, 2024. The attachment was carried out in the presence of a police team and an Executive Magistrate to ensure adherence to legal protocols,” an official statement issued by the police spokesperson, a copy of which lies with the news agency JKNS reads.
