According to an official order, a copy of which lies with the news agency JKNS, the closure follows findings from the Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, Legal Metrology, and Fire Services, highlighting consistent SOP violations and non-compliance. As a result, the pump, operated by Mohammad Ashraf Khan of Chinkipora, Baramulla, has been sealed.

Pertinently, this action is in line with reports submitted by ADC Sopore, Tehsildar Dangerpora, and other relevant departments citing repeated breaches. The petrol pump has been operating under a license that has now been officially rescinded, ending its operations in the area.—(JKNS)
