Srinagar: Lal Chowk, the bustling commercial heart of Srinagar, came alive with activity today as the 132nd Battalion of the CRPF organized a free medical camp for the general public.
The medical camp attracted passersby, local residents, and people from different parts of the valley, underscoring its role as a central hub for community engagement.
The camp provided essential medical services, including check-ups and consultations, ensuring accessible healthcare for all.
Officials from the CRPF leading the initiative emphasized its purpose. “Our aim is to provide healthcare and free medical check-ups to residents while strengthening and smoothing the relationship between the security forces and the public,” said a CRPF official.
Local residents expressed their gratitude for the initiative. “Lal Chowk is a busy area, and this camp has made it easier for people from different parts of the valley to access health facilities without any trouble,” said one resident.
Another local said, “I came here with my father for a check-up. The doctors were very helpful, and it’s heartening to see such camps being organized in a busy area like Lal Chowk”
