Bandipora: The three-day sports activities for children from Palaash and Pareesha Child Care Institutions (CCIs) concluded Saturday in Bandipora.
The event was organized by the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) under Mission Vatsalya, to promote the overall well-being and development of children in care institutions.
The children participated enthusiastically in indoor games including chess and carrom, showcasing their skills, sportsmanship and teamwork.
The event served as a platform for them to engage in healthy competition and build confidence.
To encourage and motivate the young participants, the DCPU distributed trophies, medals and certificates.
Protection Officer Non-Institutional Care (NIC), informed that these sports activities were part of the DCPU’s ongoing efforts to ensure the holistic development of children in care institutions, fostering their physical, mental, and social well-being.
The event concluded with a sense of accomplishment and joy, as the children received recognition for their participation and performance, reinforcing the importance of such initiatives for their overall growth.
